Common questions about edit pdf

Can I change the existing text in a PDF?

Not directly. These tools add content on top of the page. To replace a word, cover it with White-out in Edit PDF and type over it, but the old text stays in the file and can still be copied or found by search. For big rewrites, convert the file into a Word document first.

Will my edits add a watermark or branding?

No. Only the changes you make are added to the file. There is no site watermark, no account to create, no payment and no limit on how many documents you edit, fill in, number or stamp.

Are my documents uploaded when I edit them?

No. Editing, filling and stamping all happen in your browser, so contracts, forms and personal details never reach a server. Some tools download a font file the first time you add text, but your PDF itself is not sent anywhere.

How do I convert a US Letter PDF to A4?

Load the PDF into Change PDF Page Size, choose A4 and Scale to fit, then click Change page size. Each page is scaled slightly and centred on an A4 sheet, so nothing is cut off. Pages are placed as vector content, so text stays sharp.

How do I add Page 1 of 10 numbering to a PDF?

Open Add Page Numbers to PDF and choose the Page 1 of N format. The total is worked out for you and counts only the numbered pages, so a 12-page file numbered from page 3 reads Page 1 of 10. Set the first page to number to skip a cover.
