Take-home pay, tax, benefit, pension and child support figures follow the official rules for the year stated, applied to the figures you enter. Your actual payslip, tax bill, benefit award or court order can differ, because it may depend on details the tool doesn't have, such as other income, a different tax code, deductions your employer makes, or a decision a court or agency makes. Where an official calculator exists, the tool links to it; use it, or ask a qualified adviser, before making a decision that matters.

Health

Health calculators such as BMI, body fat and A1c estimates show what a formula gives for your inputs. They cannot diagnose anything. Speak to a GP, doctor or other health professional about your own health.

Immigration points

Points calculators follow the published criteria at the date shown. The immigration authority, such as IRCC in Canada, makes the decision, and criteria and draw cut-offs change.

Document and PDF tools

Figures and dates read from documents are extracted by pattern matching and text recognition, which can miss or misread something. Check every extracted figure against the original document before relying on it. Keep a copy of any file you change with a PDF tool.
