Pick a tool and click or drag on the page to add text boxes, rectangles, ellipses, highlights, lines, arrows, freehand pen strokes, ticks, crosses, sticky-note comments or images (PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF). You can set colour, fill, line width, opacity and text size from 6 to 72 pt, move and resize anything, and use undo and redo. Text uses an embedded Unicode font, so accents and non-Latin scripts display correctly. The editor adds new content on top of the page; it cannot change or reflow existing text. White-out draws a white box over old content so you can type on top, but the covered text stays in the file and can still be copied, so use Redact PDF for anything sensitive. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use the Edit PDF
- Drop your PDF into the box and the first page opens in the editor.
- Choose a tool such as Text, Image, Rectangle or White-out, then click or drag on the page.
- Select any object to move, resize, restyle, duplicate or delete it, using the page menu to switch pages.
- Click Save edited PDF and download the file with your changes drawn onto the pages.
Frequently asked questions
How do I edit text in a PDF for free?
This editor cannot rewrite existing text, but you can cover it. Click White-out, draw a box over the old words, then use the Text tool to type the replacement on top. For larger rewrites, convert the file with PDF to Word.
Does white-out remove the text underneath?
No. White-out only hides content visually. The original text stays in the file and can still be selected, copied or found by search. To remove confidential information for good, use Redact PDF instead.
Can I add an image or logo to a PDF?
Yes. Choose the Image tool, pick a PNG, JPG, WebP or GIF file, then click or drag on the page to place it. Large images are scaled down to 1,600 pixels on the longest side before placing.
Will the edited PDF have a watermark?
No. The downloaded file contains only your own changes, with no branding or watermark added by us. There is no account to create, no payment and no limit on how many PDFs you edit.
Can I edit a PDF on my phone?
The editor runs in mobile browsers, and tapping to place text, ticks and shapes works on touch screens. Precise dragging and resizing is easier with a mouse, so use a computer for detailed work.
