The tool reads the fillable fields built into the PDF and lists them page by page, next to a preview where each field is highlighted. It handles single and multi-line text boxes (respecting any character limit), tick boxes, radio buttons, drop-down menus and list boxes. Required fields are checked before saving and read-only fields are left alone. Answers in any language display correctly because a Unicode font is embedded when needed, and older XFA forms have their XFA layer removed so values show in every reader. Tick Flatten after filling to lock the answers into the page. A flat scanned form has no fields to fill; the tool tells you and points you to Edit PDF instead. Nothing is uploaded.

How to use the Fill PDF Form

  1. Drop the PDF form into the box and the tool lists every fillable field it finds.
  2. Type your answers, tick boxes and choose options; clicking a field in the preview jumps to it.
  3. Tick Flatten after filling if the recipient should not be able to change your answers.
  4. Click Download filled PDF and save the completed form.

Frequently asked questions

How do I fill in a PDF form without printing it?

Load the form here, type into each listed field and click Download filled PDF. The answers are saved in the form's own fields, so the recipient can read them in any PDF reader or print the file.

What if my PDF has no fillable fields?

The tool will say so. A scanned or flat form has nothing to type into, so use Edit PDF to place text boxes on the page, or Create Fillable PDF Form to add proper fields first.

How do I stop someone changing my answers?

Tick Flatten after filling before downloading. Your answers become part of the page and can no longer be edited as form fields. Keep an unflattened copy in case you need to correct something.

Is my personal information uploaded?

No. The form is read and filled by your own browser, so names, addresses, dates of birth and ID numbers never reach a server. Nothing is stored once you close the page.

Why does it say some fields are required?

The form's author marked those fields as mandatory. The tool checks them before saving and lists up to five that are still empty. Fill them in, or the form may be rejected when you submit it.
