Every page appears as a thumbnail with its own rotate button, which turns that page 90 degrees clockwise on each click. Buttons above the grid rotate all pages left, right or 180 degrees at once, which is quicker for a scan fed in upside down. The tool writes the new angle into each page's rotation setting and adds it to any rotation the page already had, so the content is never re-rendered or compressed and text stays selectable. Because the angle is stored in the PDF itself, the pages open the right way up in Acrobat, Preview, browsers and phone apps. Password-protected files open once you enter the password. Rotation runs in your browser and the file is not uploaded.

How to use the Rotate PDF
- Drop your PDF into the box and wait for the page thumbnails to appear.
- Click the rotate icon under any page to turn it 90 degrees clockwise, repeating as needed.
- Or use Rotate all left, Rotate all right or Rotate all 180 degrees to turn every page at once.
- Click Apply rotation and download the corrected PDF, saved with -rotated in its name.
Frequently asked questions
How do I rotate just one page in a PDF?
Click the rotate icon under that page's thumbnail. Each click turns it 90 degrees clockwise, so click twice for upside-down pages or three times to turn it anticlockwise. Other pages are left alone.
Is the rotation saved permanently?
Yes. The new angle is written into the PDF, so the pages open the right way up in any reader, not just in this browser. You can rotate them back later with the same tool if you need to.
Does rotating a PDF reduce quality?
No. Rotation changes only the page's orientation setting. The text, images and graphics are not re-rendered or compressed, so selectable text remains selectable and the file size barely changes.
Why is the Apply rotation button greyed out?
The button only becomes active once at least one page has been rotated. Turn a page with its rotate icon or use one of the Rotate all buttons, and it will switch on.
Can I rotate a password-protected PDF?
Yes, if you know the password. Enter it when prompted and the pages load as normal. The rotation is applied in your browser and the password is not sent anywhere.
