Drop in a PDF and every page renders in one continuous scroll. On wider screens a thumbnail sidebar lets you jump to any page, and you can also type a page number or step forward and back. Zoom runs from 25% to 400%, or use fit width. Search highlights every match once you type two or more characters, and Enter moves through the results. Print sends the original PDF to your browser's print dialog, and Download saves a copy. Password-protected files ask for the password first. Images such as JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and TIFF open too, wrapped in a temporary PDF. Pages far from view are released from memory, so long documents stay responsive. The viewer is read-only, with no annotation tools.

How to use the PDF Viewer

  1. Drop a PDF or an image onto the page, or click to choose one.
  2. Enter the password if the PDF is protected, and the pages load in a continuous scroll.
  3. Use the thumbnails, page box, zoom buttons and search bar to find what you need.
  4. Print the document or download a copy, then close it to open another file.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need Adobe Reader to view PDFs?

No. The viewer runs in any modern browser on Windows, macOS, Linux, ChromeOS, iPhone and Android. Pages are drawn with pdf.js, the same engine Firefox uses for its built-in PDF viewer, so nothing needs to be installed.

Can I open a password-protected PDF?

Yes. You will be asked for the password before the pages load, and decryption happens in your browser. If you do not know the password, the viewer cannot open the file, as it does not bypass PDF security.

Why does search find nothing in my PDF?

Search only finds real text. A scanned document is a set of page images with no text layer, so there is nothing to match. Run the file through PDF OCR first, then open the new copy here to search it.

Can I annotate or edit a PDF in this viewer?

No. The viewer is for reading, searching and printing only. To add comments, highlights or text, open the file in Annotate PDF or Edit PDF, which are separate tools on this site.

Is my PDF uploaded or stored?

No. The file is opened from your device and held in your browser's memory only while the page is open. Closing the tab or clicking the close button clears it, and nothing is kept on a server.
