Upload the current price list and the new one as Excel (.xlsx, .xls, .ods), CSV, PDF, Word or text. The tool reads the product code, description and price from each list and pairs products by SKU, or by a very close description match when there is no code. Each product is marked Increase, Decrease, Unchanged, New Product or Discontinued, with the old price, new price, difference and percentage change. You set an alert threshold, 10% by default, and any increase at or above it is flagged. The summary counts each type of change and gives the average increase across the products that went up. Files are processed on our server and not stored. Export the results to Excel or CSV, or copy the table.

Frequently asked questions
How do I compare two supplier price lists?
Upload the old list and the new list. The tool pairs each product by its code or description and shows the old price, new price, difference and percentage change in one table, with new and discontinued products listed as well.
How is the percentage price change calculated?
It is the difference divided by the old price, times 100. A product that goes from £10.00 to £11.50 has risen by £1.50, which is (11.50 − 10.00) ÷ 10.00 × 100 = 15%. With the default 10% threshold, that increase would be flagged.
What is the alert threshold?
It is the percentage increase you want to be warned about. Any product whose price rises by that amount or more gets a warning mark, and the summary counts how many items are above it. The default is 10% and you can change it before running the comparison.
How are discontinued and new products found?
Any product in the old list with no match in the new list is marked Discontinued. Any product in the new list with no match in the old one is marked New Product. Matching uses the SKU first, then a close description match of at least 85% similarity.
Which file formats work best?
Excel and CSV files work best because the tool can read the column headings, such as Product Code, Description and Price. PDFs and Word files work when each product sits on its own line with its numbers. Each file can be up to 30MB.
