Resize Image changes the width and height of one image or a whole batch. Enter pixels with the aspect ratio locked so nothing looks squashed, scale by a percentage, or pick a ready-made size: Instagram square and portrait posts, stories, Facebook link images, X headers, LinkedIn banners, YouTube thumbnails, Full HD and profile pictures. When the new shape differs from the original you choose what happens: crop to fill from the centre, fit the whole image with a coloured or transparent border, or stretch. Resampling uses the Lanczos3 filter in linear light, which keeps edges and text sharper than the quick scaling built into most browsers and phones. Save in the same format or switch to JPG, PNG or WebP, with a quality setting for JPG and WebP. Enlarging is possible but cannot add detail that was not there, so the tool warns you. Everything runs in your browser.

Frequently asked questions

How do I resize without stretching the image?

Keep the padlock closed in Pixels mode, so changing the width updates the height to match the original shape. When you need an exact size with a different shape, such as a square from a wide photo, choose Crop to fill or Fit with border instead of Stretch.

What size is an Instagram post?

Instagram shows feed posts at 1080 pixels wide. Use 1080 × 1080 for a square post or 1080 × 1350 for a 4:5 portrait post, which takes up more of the screen. Stories and Reel covers are 1080 × 1920. All three are in the size list.

Will resizing reduce quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp because Lanczos resampling averages pixels carefully. Making it larger cannot create new detail, so enlarged images look softer, and the tool flags them. Saving as JPG or WebP adds a little compression, which you control with the quality slider.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like and they all get the same settings. With the padlock closed, each image keeps its own shape at the width you set. Download them together as a ZIP.

Are my images uploaded?

No. Every image is decoded, processed and saved inside your browser using WebAssembly encoders, so the files never leave your phone or computer. You can switch off your internet connection after the page loads and the tool still works.
