Add .xlsx, .xlsm, .xls, .ods or .csv files and each workbook becomes one PDF. If a file has several sheets you can tick which ones to include; hidden sheets start unticked. Each sheet is laid out as a table under its name, and a first row of text is treated as a header. Pages are sideways by default. Fit to page width shrinks the text, down to 6pt, so every column fits across the page; untick it to split wide sheets into groups of 8 columns on upright pages or 12 on sideways ones. Cells show their saved, formatted values. Cell colours, borders, merged cells, charts, images and your print areas are not reproduced, and each sheet is capped at 20,000 rows. Password-protected workbooks need the password removed first.

How to use the Excel to PDF

  1. Drop one or more Excel, ODS or CSV files onto the page.
  2. Untick any sheets you do not want; hidden sheets are left out unless you tick them.
  3. Choose page size, orientation, margins, page numbers and whether to fit columns to the page width.
  4. Click Convert to PDF and download each workbook's PDF.

Frequently asked questions

How do I stop columns being split across pages?

Leave Fit to page width ticked. The text shrinks, down to a minimum of 6pt, so every column fits across one page, and sideways pages give the most room. If you untick it, wide sheets are split into groups of columns on separate pages.

Are formulas kept in the PDF?

No. The PDF shows each cell's value as it was last calculated and saved in the file, formatted as text. Formulas are not included, and if a workbook was never recalculated before saving, the old value is what appears.

Are charts, colours and borders included?

No. The converter reads cell values only, so each sheet becomes a plain table. Charts, images, cell colours, borders, merged cells and print areas set in Excel are not reproduced. Use Excel's own Save as PDF for a styled copy.

Is there a size limit?

Each sheet is capped at 20,000 rows, and the tool tells you if rows were left out. Each file can be up to 250 MB, but very large workbooks take longer and use more memory because everything runs in your browser.

Is my spreadsheet uploaded?

No. The workbook is read and converted in your browser, so budgets, payroll and price lists stay on your device. The only thing downloaded from our site is the font used to typeset the PDF.
