DOCX is the Office Open XML format used by Microsoft Word and exported by Google Docs, LibreOffice Writer, Apple Pages and many web apps. This converter opens the .docx package in your browser, extracts headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and embedded images, and lays them out as a new PDF. You can convert several files at once and download them as a ZIP. Options cover page size (A4, Letter, Legal, A3, A5), orientation, three margin widths and page numbers. Text uses the DejaVu Sans font, which covers accented Latin, Greek and Cyrillic, but your document's own fonts, colours, headers, footers and multi-column layouts are not reproduced. For pixel-perfect output, export to PDF from the app that created the file.

How to use the DOCX to PDF

What is a DOCX file?

DOCX is the Office Open XML document format introduced with Word 2007. It is a ZIP package of XML files holding the text, styles and images, and it is now the standard format for word processing documents.

Can I convert DOCX files exported from Google Docs?

Yes. In Google Docs choose File, Download, Microsoft Word (.docx), then add that file here. Files saved from LibreOffice Writer and Apple Pages in .docx format work the same way.

Can I convert several DOCX files at once?

Yes. Add multiple files and each is converted to its own PDF. When there is more than one result you can download them all in a single ZIP, or join them afterwards with Merge PDF.

Why does my PDF use a different font?

The converter rebuilds the text rather than printing the page, and it sets everything in DejaVu Sans so any character displays correctly. Your document's fonts, colours and sizes are not carried over. Export from Word or Google Docs if the exact look matters.

Are my DOCX files uploaded?

No. The .docx package is unzipped and converted in your browser, so the file never reaches a server. The only thing downloaded from our site is the font used to typeset the PDF.
