Drop in one or more files and each is converted according to its type: Word .docx, Excel .xlsx, .xlsm and .xls, OpenDocument .odt and .ods, CSV, plain text, RTF, Markdown, EPUB, and images including JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, BMP, SVG and AVIF. Every document becomes its own PDF, while all the images go into one combined PDF, one per page. Choose A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5, portrait or sideways pages, three margin widths and page numbers. Documents are rebuilt from their content in a standard font, so headings, lists, tables and pictures carry over, but the original fonts and complex layouts do not. Legacy .doc and PowerPoint files are refused with advice on exporting them. Download files singly or as a ZIP.

How to use the Convert to PDF

  1. Drop one or more documents or images onto the page.
  2. Choose the page size, orientation, margins and whether to add page numbers.
  3. Set any extra options that appear, such as fitting spreadsheet columns or using a monospaced font for text.

Which file types can I convert to PDF?

Word .docx, Excel .xlsx, .xlsm and .xls, OpenDocument .odt and .ods, CSV, .txt, .rtf, Markdown, EPUB, and images including JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, TIFF, GIF, BMP, SVG and AVIF. Each document becomes its own PDF and all images are combined into one.

Will the PDF look exactly like my original?

Not always. Documents are rebuilt from their content, so headings, paragraphs, lists, tables and images carry over, but text is set in a standard font and columns, text boxes, headers and footers are not reproduced. For an exact copy, export to PDF from the app that made the file.

Can I convert PowerPoint or old .doc files?

No. Legacy .doc files and PowerPoint presentations cannot be converted in the browser. The tool tells you when you add one: save Word files as .docx, or use File, Export, PDF in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides.

Can I convert several files at once?

Yes. Add as many as you like, even of different types. Each document is converted to a separate PDF, images are merged into one PDF, and you can download everything together as a ZIP file.

Are my files uploaded during conversion?

No. Every conversion runs in your browser, so documents, spreadsheets and photos stay on your device. The only thing fetched from our site is the font file used to typeset the PDF.
