Add one or more plain text files (.txt, .text or .log) and each becomes a PDF. The tool reads UTF-8 files, honours byte-order marks, and falls back to Windows-1252 for older files so accented letters display properly. Line breaks are kept, tabs are expanded and long lines wrap at the margin. Pick a font size of 9, 10, 11, 12 or 14pt, a page size of A4, Letter, Legal, A3 or A5, portrait or sideways pages, three margin widths and page numbers. Tick the monospaced option to set the text in DejaVu Sans Mono, which keeps code, logs and ASCII tables lined up; otherwise it uses DejaVu Sans. There is no fixed length limit, as text flows across as many pages as needed.

How to use the Text to PDF

  1. Add one or more .txt or .log files from your device.
  2. Choose the font size, page size, orientation and margins.
  3. Tick Monospaced font for code, logs or tables, and add page numbers if you want them.
  4. Click Convert to PDF and download each file.

Frequently asked questions

Will special characters and accents display correctly?

Yes, in most cases. UTF-8 files, including those with a byte-order mark, are read as they are, and files that are not valid UTF-8 are read as Windows-1252. The DejaVu fonts cover accented Latin, Greek, Cyrillic and many symbols, but not Chinese, Japanese or Korean.

How do I keep columns aligned?

Tick Monospaced font. Every character then takes the same width, so spaces line up the way they do in a code editor, which keeps logs, code listings and ASCII tables readable.

Can I choose a different font?

Only between two. The standard option uses DejaVu Sans, and the monospaced option uses DejaVu Sans Mono. You can change the size from 9 to 14pt, but other font families are not available.

Can I convert a CSV file here?

No. This page accepts .txt, .text and .log files. For CSV, use Excel to PDF or Convert to PDF, which lay the data out as a table rather than as plain lines of text.

Is my text uploaded?

No. The file is read and converted in your browser, so notes, logs and transcripts never leave your device. The only thing downloaded from our site is the font used to typeset the PDF.
