Choose one of three modes. Every page saves each page as its own PDF. Every N pages cuts the document into equal chunks, such as two pages per file for double-sided forms. Custom ranges lets you type ranges separated by commas, for example 1-3, 4, 5-, and each range becomes one PDF; an open range like 5- runs to the last page. Files are named after the original with the page numbers added, such as report-pages-1-3.pdf, and you can download them one by one or as a single ZIP. Pages are copied without re-rendering, so quality does not change. Password-protected files are supported once you enter the password, and the whole split runs in your browser without uploading anything.

How to use the Split PDF

  1. Drop the PDF you want to split into the box, entering its password if it asks for one.
  2. Pick Every page, Every N pages or Custom ranges, and fill in the chunk size or ranges if needed.
  3. Click Split PDF and the tool builds a separate PDF for each part.
  4. Download the parts one at a time or click Download all to get them in one ZIP file.

Frequently asked questions

How do I split a PDF into single pages?

Choose the Every page mode and click Split PDF. Each page becomes its own file named with its page number, and you can download them individually or all together as a ZIP archive.

How do I split a PDF by page range?

Choose Custom ranges and type the ranges separated by commas, for example 1-3, 4, 5-. Each range becomes one PDF. A range ending in a dash, such as 5-, runs to the last page.

Can I split a PDF into equal parts?

Yes. Choose Every N pages and enter how many pages each file should hold. A 10-page PDF split every 3 pages gives four files: pages 1-3, 4-6, 7-9 and a final file with page 10.

Does splitting a PDF reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied into the new files without being rendered or compressed, so text, images and vector graphics look exactly as they did. Links that pointed to pages now in another file will no longer work.

Can I split a password-protected PDF?

Yes, if you know the password. The tool asks for it when you add the file, then splits the document in your browser. It cannot open a PDF whose password you do not have.
