Enter one email address and Email Verifier runs the checks that can be made without sending a message. It confirms the address follows the email standard (RFC 5322), looks up the domain's mail servers (MX records) and notices domains that publish a null MX to say they take no email, and flags throwaway inbox services from a list of over 9,000 disposable domains. It also marks shared role addresses such as info@, sales@ and noreply@, spots typos of common providers such as gmial.com, hotmial.com and yahoo.con with a one-click fix, and names the provider that hosts the mailbox, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365. The result is Valid, Risky or Invalid, with every check explained. What it cannot do is promise that a specific mailbox exists: Gmail, Outlook and many company servers do not reveal that to outside checks, so the only certain test is a real email. Addresses are not stored or logged. The free tool checks one address at a time, up to 100 a day; for bulk lists, contact us.

Frequently asked questions

How do I check if an email address is valid?

Enter it above and click Verify email. Valid means the address is written correctly and its domain has working mail servers. Risky means it will probably receive email but has a problem, such as a throwaway domain, a role address or a likely typo. Invalid means email to it will bounce.

Does this tell me if the mailbox exists?

No tool can promise that without sending an email. Gmail, Outlook and many company mail servers accept or hide every address when checked from outside, to stop spammers harvesting lists. Email Verifier checks everything that can be confirmed and says plainly that the mailbox itself is not tested.

What is a disposable email address?

A temporary inbox from a service such as Mailinator or 10 Minute Mail, often used to get past sign-up forms. They stop working quickly, so messages to them are wasted. The tool checks the domain against a public list of more than 9,000 such services.

Why is info@ or sales@ marked as risky?

Role addresses go to a shared team inbox rather than a person. They usually work, but they are more likely to be ignored or to mark marketing email as spam, so many senders keep them off newsletter lists.

Is my email address stored?

No. The address is checked against public DNS records and our disposable-domain list, and the result is sent back to your browser. Nothing is saved or logged, and no email is sent to the address.

Can I verify a list of emails in bulk?

The free tool checks one address at a time, up to 100 a day per connection. For a whole list, contact us through the contact page and we will arrange bulk verification.
