Enter your age, education, language test results and work experience, plus your partner's details if they are coming with you. The calculator applies the CRS point tables published by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC): core factors, spouse factors, skill transferability with its 50 and 100 point caps, and additional points for a provincial nomination, French, a sibling in Canada or study in Canada. You can type raw IELTS General, CELPIP-G, PTE Core, TEF Canada or TCF Canada scores and it converts them to CLB or NCLC levels. It shows your total out of 1,200, points for every factor, and what a nomination, a better test score or another year of Canadian work would add. No job offer points are counted, because IRCC removed them in March 2025.

Frequently asked questions
How is the CRS score calculated?
Your CRS score is the sum of four parts: core factors such as age, education, language and Canadian work experience (up to 500), spouse factors (up to 40), skill transferability (up to 100) and additional points (up to 600). The maximum is 1,200. If a partner comes with you, the core maximum drops to 460 and up to 40 comes from your partner's education, language and Canadian work instead.
What is the CRS score for a 29-year-old with a master's degree and CLB 9?
419, if single with no Canadian work experience. That is 110 for age, 135 for the master's, 124 for CLB 9 in all four abilities and 50 for skill transferability. Raising every ability to CLB 10 adds 12, a year of Canadian work adds 40, and NCLC 7 in French adds 62.
How many points does a provincial nomination add to CRS?
A provincial or territorial nomination adds 600 points, the largest single item in the system. A single 29-year-old with a master's and CLB 9 moves from 419 to 1,019. Compare your own total with the cut-offs on IRCC's rounds of invitations page before you plan around it.
Do you still get CRS points for a job offer?
No. IRCC removed job offer points on 25 March 2025 for everyone in the pool, including the 200 points once given for senior management jobs and the 50 for other skilled jobs. Some programmes still need a job offer to be eligible, so you still report it in your profile, but it adds nothing to your score.
How do I convert IELTS scores to CLB?
IRCC sets a minimum band for each ability. For CLB 9 you need 8.0 in listening and 7.0 in reading, writing and speaking. CLB 7 needs 6.0 in all four. CLB 10 needs 8.5 listening, 8.0 reading and 7.5 in writing and speaking. The calculator converts IELTS General, CELPIP-G, PTE Core, TEF and TCF scores for you.
