One more use a week adds about £20.83 to your yearly bill. Running fuller loads less often is the simplest way to cut the cost.
Keep the door shut
Every time the door opens the oven loses heat and has to work to get back to temperature. Cooking several things at once, or batch cooking, spreads the cost of heating it up.
From 1 October
The price cap changes to 26.32p per kWh from 1 October to 31 December 2026. At the usage above, an electric oven would cost £63.00 a year, 50p more than now.
