Compliance & Legal

Scan PDFs for sensitive PII, extract contractual renewal dates, and convert RFPs into compliance matrices.

Compliance and legal tools check documents before you sign, send or approve them, so you do not miss a cancellation deadline, forget a required file or share personal data by accident. Each one reads your file, shows where every result came from and exports to Excel, and all four handle UK and US paperwork.

The Contract Date Extractor finds the start, end, renewal and review dates in a contract, tenancy, subscription or phone deal, reads the term and notice period, and puts the cancel-by date at the top. Notice given in months is counted by calendar month, not 30 days: a 12-month tenancy starting on 1 October 2026 ends on 30 September 2027, and two months' notice must be given by 30 July 2027. It spots automatic renewal wording and can add each deadline to your calendar with a reminder seven days before.

The Document Completeness Checker compares the files you are about to send against a checklist for renting, a mortgage or supplier onboarding, then marks each item received, missing or needing review. It flags an expired ID, a payslip, statement or bill more than three months old, and a document in someone else's name. UK checklists include Right to Rent evidence and a P60; US mortgage lists include pay stubs, two years of W-2s and two months of bank statements.

The RFP Compliance Matrix Generator turns every requirement sentence in a tender into a numbered row with its clause and page. Sentences with must, shall, mandatory or required to are marked mandatory, and those with only should, may or preferred are optional. It sorts requirements into ten categories and can give a first-pass score for your draft response against each one. The PDF PII Scanner looks for personal data before a file leaves your organisation, including email addresses, phone numbers, UK National Insurance numbers, US Social Security numbers, card numbers, IBANs, sort codes and passport numbers.

Files are read on our server in memory and not stored. The tools support human review and are not legal advice.

Common questions about compliance & legal

How do I find the notice deadline in a contract?

Count back the notice period from the date the contract ends or renews, using calendar months rather than 30-day blocks. A 12-month tenancy from 1 October 2026 ends on 30 September 2027, so two months' notice must be given by 30 July 2027. The Contract Date Extractor works this out and cites the clause it used.

What documents do I need to rent a flat in the UK?

Letting agents usually ask for photo ID, proof of address from the last three months, recent payslips and bank statements, and sometimes a reference. In England your landlord must also check your Right to Rent. The Document Completeness Checker shows which of these you have, which are missing and which are out of date.

What is a compliance matrix?

A compliance matrix is a table of every requirement in a tender or RFP, with its clause, page and whether it is mandatory, so a bid team can show how it meets each one. The RFP Compliance Matrix Generator builds it from the document and exports it to Excel, where you add owner and response columns.

Do the compliance tools redact or change my documents?

No. They read your files and produce reports: key dates, checklists, requirement matrices or lists of personal data found. To remove personal data, use a PDF editor with a true redaction feature, because drawing a black box over text can leave the words readable underneath.

Are compliance documents stored after checking?

No. Files are uploaded to our server, processed in memory and not saved after the result is returned. The PII report also masks ID, card and bank numbers to their last four characters, so the report itself does not repeat the full sensitive numbers.
